Barbara SedolaRN Ms. Barbara Sedola has been a co-owner/director of a private home health care agency in Nanaimo, BC for over 15 years. Ms. Sedola is responsible for the marketing as well as strategic and business planning for the agency. Prior to her involvement with home health care, Barb was employed for several years in the hospital setting specializing in medical and critical care. Ms. Sedola is a licensed Registered Nurse and is a graduate from the Royal Jubilee Hospital. Ms. Sedola also holds a diploma in Continuing Health Care Administration, and a certificate in Management Skills from Vancouver Island University College. Ms. Barbara Sedola has over 25 years of experience as a manager and entrepreneur. Ms. Sedola started her career as a Registered Nurse with Royal Jubilee Hospital. As her responsibilities grew with each leadership role, she found her interest and skills go beyond health care, but rather to a larger scope of management and entrepreneurship. For the last 15 years, Ms. Sedola has spearheaded the marketing, human resources, as well as the strategic planning for a home health care agency that she co-owns and operates. While in this capacity, Ms. Sedola has also served on a number of mediation, and clinical advisory committees. While serving as a Board of Director, she developed and implemented a human resources system. Currently, Ms. Sedola is often featured as a guest speaker regarding her knowledge and experience as an entrepreneur, as a human resources practitioner, and as a health care administrator. |
