Bill HartleyMBA, CEC, CHRP Mr. Hartley is a senior Human Resources professional with over 25 years experience in training and development, labour relations, employee relations, grievance arbitration, collective bargaining, strategic planning, change management and employee engagement. As a facilitator, Mr. Hartley has worked in the Middle East and taught Human Resources at the community college level. He has facilitated training and leadership programs on topics that include, Managing People for First Time Supervisors, Dealing with Workplace Conflict, Progressive Discipline, Managing in a Unionized Environment, Occupational Safety and Health, and Strategic Human Resources. As a professional Executive Coach, Mr. Hartley has worked with executives in the oil and gas industry, the food and beverage industry and the financial sector. Mr. Hartley worked with Joey Restaurant Group who, in 2011, were recognized by the International Coach Federation with the Prism award for introducing coaching to the Restaurant Group. He has worked with organizations to build effective teams and has assisted employers in resolving conflict in the boardroom. He has developed effective on–boarding programs and has assisted companies in getting recognition as a top employer in British Columbia. His labour relations experiences include leading industry and single table collective bargaining, labour board hearing, arbitrations and grievance resolution. Furthermore, he is able to take a strategic approach to collective bargaining producing the best results for employers. Mr. Hartley has worked in both the private and public sector unionized environments and has worked with such unions as BCGEU, HAS, CUPE, COPE, USWA. Mr. Hartley holds an MBA in Human Resources Management from Royal Roads University along with an Executive Coaching certification from the International Coach Federation. Mr. Hartley is also a CHRP and works with the Canadian Council of Human Resource Associations as an item writer for the national knowledge exam. Mr. Hartley works with organizations where he is able to use his certifications in personality assessments such as EQI 2.0 (Emotional Intelligence), the Winslow, and MBTI (Meyers Briggs). Mr. Hartley has successfully assisted employers in reducing their turnover rates by developing a more effective recruitment strategy. |
