A Human Resources professional with over 10 years of experience in training & development, labour relations, WCB claims management, human resources information systems, and benefit administration.

As a facilitator, Connie has facilitated training and leadership programs on topics that include: Essential Supervisory/Managerial Skills, Progressive Discipline, Effective Communications, Coaching & Leadership Skills, Recruitment Strategies and Customer Service Excellence. As a professional coach and mentor, she has developed aspiring individuals to achieve and succeed in their respective roles. In addition to her ability to facilitate discussions, she has also developed national leadership education programs that have attracted industry leaders across Canada.

Her labour relations' experience include assisting employers with their collective bargaining process that include the thorough preparation of the contract package by conducting research on collective agreement language, case law and other industry and economic influences. Furthermore, she is able to utilize a strategic approach to collective bargaining thereby enhancing the employers’ outcomes. She represents her clients at the negotiations table, at the labour board and at the Federal Employment Standards Tribunal. 

As a recruiter, she has developed recruitment processes for employers in both union and non-union environments. She has designed comprehensive recruitment processes that include career fairs, behavioural interviewing techniques, panel interviews, and group interviews. As a professional recruiter, she has hired senior managers that not only focus on performance and outcomes, but are consistent with the client's corporate mission and values. She has also assisted organizations with their performance management system by conducting salary reviews and compensation packages that link individual performance outcomes with corporate goals.

Connie has successfully helped employers reduce their WCB experience rating by representing them at the Workers’ Compensation Appeal Tribunal, conducting numerous WCB investigations that led to the denial of frivolous claims, and by introducing safe work practices. In addition, she has conducted Occupational Health & Safety audits and assisted employees with gradual and modified return to work programs.

Her diverse experiences include working in hospitality, retail, banking, healthcare and manufacturing.
